| Text | Died, Monday, July 15, 1895, at 7:35 p.m. William Talbert was born in Shelby County, Ind., June 29, 1844, where he grew to manhood. In 1863, he
enlisted in Co., C., 113th Ind., Inf. from which he was honorably
discharged. Removing to this place in 1875, he was a resident until his deceased except during 1876, which was spent in Indiana. During the life here he always took an active part in all public enterprises and aided them for the benefit of the town and county. Last year he was elected to the office of Recorder of Deeds of Barry County, a position of rust and honor that is left vacant. Funeral services were held by Rev. J. W. Koons, of Exeter, after which the remains were interred in the Cassville Cemetery. The interment was conducted by the Mason of which order he was an active and leading member. |
