Headline | A Mother Gone |
Text | Death is sad at any time but a most unwelcome visitor when it enters a home and takes a mother in the prime of her life with little children looking to her for a mother's love and tender care. Allie Gaskins Talbert was born Aug. 14, 1876. Married to Chas. L. Talbert, Nov. 27, 1897. Having lived in this vicinity all her life, she was known to be an excellent woman, wife and mother. The large crowd at the funeral services Thursday was the strongest testimonial of the high respect in which she was held. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Geo. Yarbrough at the Christian Church and the remains laid to rest in Oak Hill Cemetery. The bereaved husband and little children have the sympathy of their many friends in their irreparable loss. |
