Rev. Jerry Nickle officiated. Burial was in Washburn Prairie Cemetery. Mrs. Swindle was born September 27, 1913, in Washburn, and was a lifelong resident of the community. Before her 1984 retirement, she was a deputy assessor for Barry County for many years. She was a member of Washburn United Methodist Church. Her husband, Ormund Swindle, died in 1970. Surviving are two daughters and a son. One brother Frank Armstrong, Cassville and sister Christine Schell, Washburn; 12 grandchildren and 13 great–grandchildren. |
