| Text - Outline | Beverly Marcine Sweeney, 67, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010, at home. She was the daughter of James Haley and Emma Ellen (Wright) Johnson, born October 31, 1942, in Oklahoma City, Okla.
On Dec. 23, 1958, she married Laurence Michael Jones. To this union four children were born. She was reared in Winfield, Kan. Because her husband was in the Marine Corps, she lived in Oceanside, Calif., Norfolk, Va., Hawaii and Peculiar, where they settled and raised their children. On Aug. 30, 1980, she married John (Jack) Lawrence Sweeney III. he preceded her in death May 3, 2002. Also preceding her were her parents and one sister, Carol Louise Topper. Jack and Beverly lived for five years in Baytown, Texas, before settling in Eagle Rock. Services will be held Sunday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Burial will be at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield. Research Note: Beverly was a Barry County helper. She photographed Seligman and New Salem Cemeteries. She did good work and will be missed by those who knew her from the Barry County pages. |
