| Text | Marion Frank Stumpff, 86 years old,, died at 6:30 o’clock Thursday night, Jan 1, in the home of a friend, Frank Garrett of near Stella, where he had lived for the last several years. He had been bedfast for five months. Mr. Stumpff had been blind for 60 years but had been a successful farmer in the Cato community east of Cassville, where he had lived for 68 years, moving there when from Dade County, April 1, 1872. He was a member of the Church of Christ of Cassville. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Nellie Lassiter of Bakersfield, California, and several grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Cassville Church of Christ. Burial was in the Mineral Springs Cemetery, near Cassville. |
