Text | Bill H. Stumpff, 75, Cassville, died at 3:27 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield. Mr. Stumpff was born March 26, 1907 in Cato. He was a retired carpenter and farmer. He was a member of the Coon Hunters' Association. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Corinne Mefford Stumpff; a son, Donald Stumpff, Riverside, California; six daughters, Mrs. Roberta Jenkins, La Palma, California, Mrs. Ginger Morgan, Lee's Summit, Mrs. Mary Cermak, Temple City, California, and Mrs. Charlene Zincs, and Mrs. Muriel Barr, both of Maracopa, Arizona, and Mrs. Susan Sams, Jenkins; a brother, Burl Stumpff, state of Oregon; two sisters, Mrs. Clema Cope, Cassville, and Mrs. Clara Elliott, Bakersfield, California; 26 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Axley's Culver Chapel, with Ron Stough, minister, officiating. Burial was in Clio Cemetery near Jenkins. |
