Benjamin Robert Stumpff was born April 21, 1874, in Dade County, Mo. He was the son of F. M. and Sally E. Stumpff. He passed away May 29, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Erma Padgett, at the age of 72 years, 1 month, and 8 days. Mr. Stumpff came to Barry County at the age of 19 years and lived here the remainder of his life. He was married to Sarah Lillie Hudson December 15, 1901. He is survived by four sons, three daughters: Miles Stumpff, Mesa, Wash.; Roy, Bill, Mrs. Clema Cope, Mrs. Clara Elliott and Burl of Bakersfield, Calif.; and Mrs. Erma Padgett; three brothers, one sister, George Stumpff, Galena, Mo.; Charley Stumpff, Cape Fair, Mo.; Frank Stumpff, Cassville and Mrs. Maggie Bailie, Pasco, Wash. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Robinson at the Clio church Sunday, June 2, 3 p.m. with burial in Clio cemetery under direction of Koon Funeral Home. |
