Text | Vernon Stubblefield, 91, of Shell Knob, died August 11 at his home. Mr. Stubblefield was born January 15, 1909, in Washburn, the son of Elisha and Elizabeth (Darity) Stubblefield. He was educated at Mt. Zion School. He had been a farmer, a shipyard worker, and an inspector with Cessna Aircraft for 25 years. He moved to Shell Knob in 1970. He was a member of Trappers Association and Bridgeway Assembly of God in Shell Knob. He married Beatrice Robison. He then married Juanita Hicks on October 1, 1969. Memorial services were 10 a.m. today, August 15, at Bridgeway Assembly of God in Shell Knob with Lonnie Stockton officiating. The body has been cremated under the direction of Williamson Funeral Home of Shell Knob. |
