| Text | MONETT, Mo. - Maye E. Majors Stringer, 87, of Monett died April 8, 2004, at Cox Monett Hospital. She was born July 6, 1916, in Eagle Rock, Mo., to Charley and Lula Shrum Garrett. She was a homemaker, was a Baptist and enjoyed crocheting and cooking. She was preceded in death by her husbands George Majors, in 1961, and J. E. Stringer, in 1981. Survivors include three sons, one daughter, one brother; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services were April 12 at Munsey Cemetery in Eagle Rock under the direction of Williamson Funeral Home in Cassville |
