Obit For Sam James Stockton

Text Sam James Stockton, 37, of Neosho, formerly of Monett, passed away Saturday, Aug. 3, 2002, at Freeman Hospital in Neosho of a sudden illness. He was born on Nov. 12, 1964, in Monett, the son of the late Norman Stockton and Louise (Riddle) Williams of Monett.

He was the owner of Skateland in Neosho. He was a member of the Show-Me-Chute Flyers, a licensed flight instructor for the Powered Parachutes and served for several county sheriffs as a reserve. He married on July 28, 1984. His wife survives.

Addiitional survivors include his mother and step-father, his step-mother, his paternal grandmother, Tracy Fay Stockton of Purdy, his maternal grandparents, one son of the home, one daughter of the home, two brothers, three step-brothers, two step-sisters.

He is preceeded in death by his father, Norman Stockton on Feb. 5, 2000.

Funeral services were held today (Wednesday) at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Chapel. Burial was at Monett IOOF Cemetery in Monett.
