Text | Died, Jan. 15, 1914, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. D. Gustin, of Salem, Mrs. Martha Stark, wife of J. M. Stark, aged 74 years, 1 month and 6 days. She had been in declining health for the past year, and her death was not unexpected by her friends and relatives. The remains were brought here for interment at Washburn Prairie, Friday evening, accompanied by her husband and daughter and taken to the home of her daughter, Mrs. T. J. Foster. Funeral services were conducted at Washburn Prairie Church Saturday at 2 p.m. by Rev.'s J. T. Brattin and C. F. Siler. She was a devoted Christian a staunch Baptist and defender of the faith and a charter member of the Washburn Baptist Church. Mrs. Stark was a good kind neighbor, affectionate mother and will be greatly missed in this community. We extend our sympathy to the bereaved ones. |
