| Text | Abstract John L. Sparks, age 91, of Golden, died yesterday, November 30, 2004, at the home of his daughter in Blue Springs. Mr. Sparks was born February 4, 1913, in Golden, and was a son of S. J. and Maude Keith Sparks. He was a livestock farmer. He was a member of the Baptist Church in Golden, Golden Circle Shores, Agricultural Stabilization Corporation, Barry County Hospital Board, and Century Farmers Association. He had also served on the Golden School Board for several years. He married Elizabeth Easley on May 5, 1935, and she preceded him in death. He was preceded in death by one brother, Claude Sparks; four sisters, Alice Shoush, Mary Henbest, Lora Bruton, and Audrey Hodges, and two grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 3, at the Baptist Church in Golden. Burial will be in Viney Cemetery in Golden under the direction of Williamson Funeral Home of Cassville. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church. |
