Text The angel of death visited this city Saturday night about nine o'clock and claimed Mrs. Granville Snell, aged 80 years, who has for some time been making her home with her daughter Mrs. Sam Hook, on East Liberty street.

Deceased was the wife of Mr. Granville Snell, deceased, at one time one of the most substantial and leading stockmen of Monroe county. Since his death she has been making her home with a daughter in Quincy, Ill., a son in Centralia, relatives near Paris, Mo., and with her daughter, Mrs. Same Hook, in this city.

Mrs. Snell has for the past four or five months been suffering intensely from ulceration of the stomach, which terminated in her death Saturday night.

The funeral services were held last Monday at 3:30 o'clock at Mt. Zion church, six miles south of Paris, Mo. The remains will be interred at the same place beside her family.
