Headline -
Text Mrs. Lee Smithson was born near Crawfordsville, Indiana, April 19, 1860. She passed from this life Jan. 22, 1936, at her home in Exeter, at the age of 75 years, 9 months and 3 days.

She professed faith in Christ when still a girl. She later united with the Christian church in Exeter and remained a faithful member of the church until death took her away.

She was married to J.L. Smithson February 10, 1884. To them were born five children: Bert Smithson of Bentonville, Ark., Earle Smithson and Mrs. Vergie Packwood both of Exeter, Mrs. Eula Roseberry of Hayworth, Okla., and Mrs. Lucille Robison, who preceded her in death in 1922.

Surviving her are her husband and children, eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two brothers, one half-brother, one half-sister, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was a kind and loving mother, a good neighbor who will be sadly missed.

Funeral services were held at the Christian church in Exeter, conducted by Rev. Charles Vanzandt of Exeter and Rev. R.M. Patrick of Cassville, January 23. Her body was laid to rest in the Maplewood cemetery.

Loving Mother, so true and kind,
No one on earth like her we find,
For all of us she did her best
Until God gave her eternal rest.
