Text | Carl Monroe "Snuffy" Smith, 93, Seligman died April 14, 2002, at Beverly Healthcare in Rogers. He was born July 28, 1908, in Marlow, Okla., to Gus and Sadie (Flemings) Smith. He moved to the area in 1969 from Lubbock, Texas, where he was a feed grain elevator operator, loading boxcars for more than 20 years. He was a member of Mountain Bible Church in Washburn, Mo., and enjoyed fishing and his CB radio. He was preceded in death by his wife, Violet Gertrude Smith, in 1984. Survivors include one son, with the armed forces serving in Bosnia; one daughter of Seligman; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be Friday in Peaceful Gardens Cemetery in Lubbock. |
