| Text | Abstract - Jerry D. Smith, 65, of Cassville, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2006, in his home. He was born April 3, 1941, in Eugene, OR, and was a son of Grover and Edith (Williamson) Smith. On Aug. 30, 1961, he was united in marriage to June Robinson. He was preceded in death by his father. He received his education in Cassville, graduating from Cassville High School. He resided most of his life in Cassville, except for a few years which he spent in Kansas. For 31 years he was employed with the Missouri Highway Department. He was a member of Oak Ridge Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a deacon, song leader and Sunday school teacher. Funeral services were held Saturday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastors Ralph Walker and Larry Henbest conducted the services. Burial was at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Cassville. Memorial contributions may be made to Oak Ridge Missionary Baptist Church, sanctuary account. |
