| Text | Alice May Smallwood, daughter of Lawrence and Ella Smallwood, was born Oct 23, 1918 and departed this life Feb. 19, 1939 at the age of 20 years, 3 months and 25 days. She was united in marriage to Herald Higgs and to this union one son, Jimmie Lawrence was born. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband and son, mother and father, two sisters, Pauline and Martha Ann, one brother, Onnie and a host of relatives and friends. One brother, Chas., preceded her in death. Alice was loved by all who knew her and she will be sadly missed by everyone. Funeral services were conducted at the Exeter Baptist Church Tuesday, Feb. 21, by Rev. Chas. Vanzandt assisted by Rev. Edie, and burial made in the Maplewood Cemetery at Exeter. |
