Text | Glenn Robert Slagle was born Mar. 2, 1917, at Yuma, Col., and passed away, Tuesday, March 14, 1939 at the age of 22 years and 12 days. He was united in marriage to Hazel England Dec. 18, 1936, and to this union was born one son, Jerry Jean, who is now about 20 months old. Besides his wife and son he is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Single of Ridgley, six sisters, Mrs. Robert Harrison of Exeter, Mrs. Olen Brattin of Ridgley, Mrs. Arthur Crided of Ridgley, Esther, Luelle and Mildred at home; one brother, William at home; two nieces; five nephews, also a number of other relatives and a host of friends. He obeyed the Gospel in 1931 and was a member of the Church of Christ living a faithful life. His last words to his wife was for her and his loved ones to meet him in heaven. Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ in Ridgley Wednesday, March 15 by Mervin Spencer of Neosho and burial was made in the Maplewood Cemetery at Exeter under the direction of Pogue Undertaking Co.
