Abstact Lorraine Shrum, age 82, of Monett, died at 3:12 a.m. today, June 10, at Lacoba Nursing Home in Monett following a brief illness. Mrs. Shrum was born January 19, 1917, in Galena, Kansas, the daughter of Dorsey and Mattie Whitlow. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ in Monett. She married Owen Shrum on February 2, 1940, in Reno, Nevada, and he preceded her in death May 5, 1982. She was preceded in death by one sister, Eva Wisdom. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 12, at Fohn Chapel in Cassville with Wayne Deffenbaugh and Dale Graham, ministers, officiating. Burial will be in Mineral Springs Cemetery in Cassville under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home of Cassville. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tomorrow, June 11, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice. |
