| Text | Wayne A. Shockley, 74 of Cassville, passed away Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at St. Mary's Hospital in Blue Springs. He was born Jan. 30, 1938, to Maud Lee and Bert Shockley. He owned and operated Shockley Drywall for over 30 years.
Preceding him in death were: four sisters, Hazel Young, Bonnie Woodard, Minnie Davis and Norma Catron; three brothers, Charlie Shockley, Everett Shockley, and Wilbur Shockley; and one grandson. Survivors include: two sisters, Myrtle Shelley and Irene Spears; one brother, Marvin Shockley; five children, Carrie Hopkins, Christina Bindi, Larry Schellenberger, Rita Chase and Dale Shockley; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Cremation arrangements were by Meyers Funeral Chapel in Blue Springs. At his request there will be no funeral service and his ashes are to be spread where his mother and father are laid to rest at Maplewood cemetery in Exeter. |
