Text | Jo Ann Shock, 76, passed away at her home in Pierce City at 11:07 p.m. April 28. She was
born February 9, 1933 in Pierce City, the daughter of Earl Austin Coleman
and Etta (Gerbing) Coleman. She was a 1950 graduate of Pierce City High
School. Jo Ann was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in
Pulaskifield.
She is survived by her son, Michael Lewis and wife, Jakki, of Placerville, California; and her daughter, Debbie Cholley and husband, Bill, of Pierce City. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Casey, Buck, Sara, Chris & David; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 1, at 1 p.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Pulaskifield with Father Daniel Robles officiating. Internment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Pierce City. Rosary with visitation to follow will be held April 30 at 7 p.m. at Lakin Funeral Home. The family wishes to thank everyone at Community Hospice in Monett for their loving care of Jo Ann these past few years. To all of her nurses past and present--she thought of you girls as family. Thank you to our church family at Sts. Peter and Paul for their prayers and support. A special thanks to Joann Abramovitz for all of the love and cinnamon rolls, Janice Haddock for making Tuesdays so special, Harold Mettlach and all the friends at Pierce City Senior Center for always remembering lunch, and to Jayne Gideon for all the care and cole slaw. To the rest of Mom's friends and community volunteers--thank you and God bless you for your love and compassion. Arrangements are under the direction of Lakin Funeral Home of Pierce City. |
