Text Myrtle Emaline (Shockley) Crawford Shelley, age 94, of Washburn, Missouri, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015, at Cassville Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born April 30, 1921, in McDonald County, Missouri, the daughter of Bert and Maude (Lee) Shockley. In September, 1937, she was united in marriage to John Crawford, who preceded her in death on December 23, 1972. Born to this union were five children, Bob, Janice, Shirley, Connie and Johnny. She married Carl Shelley, who also preceded her in death. Others preceding her in death were four brothers, Everett Shockley, Wilbur Shockley, Charley Shockley and Wayne Shockley; four sisters, Hazel Young, Bonnie Woodward, Minnie Davis and Norma Catron; one grandson, Jeffrey Quick and one great grandson, Nathan Hopkins.

Surviving are her children, thirteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; eleven great-great grandchildren; three step-children and several step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Myrtle was a member of Washburn First Baptist Church. For over twenty years she worked at Armour’s and Tyson Poultry Plants. Some of her favorite pastimes were camping, fishing, playing Bingo, sewing and reading. She was a homemaker and a very good cook. She also loved to feed anyone that came visiting. Most of all she loved her family.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 29, 2015, in Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter, Missouri, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Jerry Yarnall will conduct the services.
