| Text | Mrs. Elizabeth Ellen Duff Shannon was born Jan. 20, 1860 and departed this life November 4, 1929 at her home near Pioneer at the age of 69 years, 9 months and 14 days. Mrs. Shannon was born and raised in this country. She was united in marriage to Mr. Shannon in 1876. To this union 10 children was born, seven of whom preceded her in death. Those left to mourn her departure are: Mrs. Delia Payne of California and Bob, and Ben Shannon of near Pioneer. Early in life she professed faith in Christ and lived a devoted Christian life. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Levi Ray of Fairview at the Muncie Chapel Church Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 6, and the body laid to rest in the Muncie Chapel Cemetery under the direction of the Belka and Wessell Funeral Home. |
