Text | William R. Scott, a former representative from Barry county to the General Assembly, died at his home in Washburn, Thursday, June 1st. He was born in Boone county, Indiana, December 3, 1858. he had lived in Barry county for a good many years. For the past eleven years he had been engaged in the hotel business in Washburn. Funeral services were held at 3:30 o’clock, Friday afternoon, June 2. Interment was made in the Washburn Prairie cemetery, under direction of the Horine-Culver Funeral service. He is survived by his widow and three children. The children are: Corn Heimlich of Ft. Scott, Kan., Jay and Major Scott of Washburn.
