Text | Henry Schamburgh who has been living in a small cottage near John Bertalott's was found dead Sunday afternoon, Feb. 6th by Mr. Bertalott. Mr. Schamburg was laying by the stove and they could only see him through the window, the door being barred from the inside. From all appearance he must have been dead two or three days when found. He was seen about the place Thursday of last week and that was the last he had been seen until he was found dead Sunday. He was supposed to be about 65 years old and was of German decent. He claimed to have no relatives in the United States and he had lived in our community five or six years and had always lived alone. He had traveled a great part of his life and had visited every state in the union but five. An inquest will be held Monday morning and arrangements made for the burial. |
