Preston was 23 years old. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Sanford Sapp, and a grandson of the late Newt Sapp for many years one of the substantial citizens of his community. Funeral services were held at 2:30 o?clock, Saturday afternoon, May 5, at the Calvary Baptist church northwest of Exeter of which he was a member. The services were conducted by Rev. C. M. Smith and Rev. Fred McPhail. Burial was made in the cemetery near the church, under the direction of the W. D. Koon Funeral Service of this city. He is survived by his widow and a light eight months old son.
