Text | Mrs. Lucinda Amanda Elam-Sapp, wife of T. N. Sapp, died at their home north of Exeter, Friday Dec. 14 at the age of 66 years, 11 months and 14 days after a short illness. She was born in Greene County, Mo., on November 26, 1862 and when a small child moved with her parents to Seneca, where they died. After their death she made her home with different relatives until about the age of seventeen when she went to make her home with Mr. and Mrs. Washington Montgomery. She was married to T. N. Sapp on Feb. 9, 1882 and to this union were born seven children, six of whom are living. They are James, Sanford, Clarence., Mrs. Flossie Linebarger, Mrs. Lizzie Yarnall and Mrs. Ina Bayless, all living in this county. Her first born, Ona Pearl, died when at about six months of age. She leaves beside her husband, Uncle Newt, and children, thirty grand children, four grand children having preceded her in death, also one brother, R. H. (Dick) Elam of Eagle Rock and one half brother, John Elam of Bartlesville, Okla., a host of relative and friends. She was converted forty-six years ago and united with the New Site Baptist church, later moving her membership to Calvary church. She lived a consecrated Christian life, and a devoted and sacrificing wife and mother, her first thought being for her family and friends. Her active life has ended but her influence will go on. Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon Dec. 15 at the Mt. Pleasant church by. Revs. C. M. Smith and Chas Vanzandt. Burial was made in Mt.
