Text | Thursday, Jan. 1, 1914, the Death Angle visited our community at an early hour and claimed for its victim Luther Sanders, son of Rev. James Sanders. He leaves a father, mother, and three sisters to mourn his untimely death. He was the last of five or six brothers all having preceded him to a better world. They all lived to be men except one. He lived an upright life which won him a host of friends. While he was afflicted about twelve months, he was patient to the end. We can only remind the sorrowing ones that he is not dead, he is only asleep. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Canady at the home and his body was taken to Aurora and left to rest in the Maple Cemetery. |
