Text | Ida B. Sanders of Lakeway, Texas, died yesterday, August 1, 2000, at her home following a long illness. Mrs. Sanders was born in Monett, and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Shipley. She was a longtime resident of Joplin. She was active in many golf organizations. She was a 1940 graduate of Monett High School. She was married to Miller Sanders. Survivors include two daughters, three sisters, two grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Wilks; and one brother, James Shipley. The body has been cremated. Services will be 2 p.m. tomorrow, August 3, at St. James Episcopal Church in Taylor, Texas. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, August 7, at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin under the direction of Providence Funeral Home of Taylor, Texas. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Fund. |
