Headline | MRS. ERNEST SALLEE PASSES AWAY AT EXETER MONDAY |
Text | The many friends of Mrs. Ernest Sallee of Exeter will be grieved to know that she passed away at her home in the city Monday morning following a stroke of apoplexy which stuck her the previous day. Mrs. Salle had been in ill health for the past two years but the stoke came as a surprise to her relatives and friends. Mrs. Sallee was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Hall, old time and honorable citizens of Exeter, and was 48 years old. She was born in Washburn, July 15th, 1850. She was married to Ernest Sallee, a prominent rural mail carrier of Exeter, on January 12, 1905, no children being born to the union. She was a member of the Baptist church and was greatly loved by all who knew her. She was an excellent lady, neighbor and wife and always did much for suffering humanity. Impressive funeral services were conducted by Rev. Chas. Vanzandt of Exeter at the Baptist church at that place Wednesday afternoon after which remains were laid to rest in Maplewood cemetery at Exeter. The many friends of Mr. Sallee and Mr.and Mrs. Hall will join the Democrat in extending sincere sympathy in their sad hour.
