Text | Verna Myrtle Bayless daughter of Morris and Jane Bayless, was born at Altamont Kansas, Sept. 12, 1884. Died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jim McNabb, three miles northwest of Exeter, Mo. May 9, 1929, after a lingering illness with Pelegra, aged 44 years, eight months and 3 days. She was married to A.E. Ryan, Sept. 9, 1900. To this union seven children were born, all of whom were with her during her illness and death. She was converted at the age of thirteen years and united with the Antioch Baptist church, where her membership remained until her death. She leaves to mourn her death, her husband and seven children, five grandchildren, two sisters, one brother and her farther, Morris Bayless. Her mother passed away sixteen months ago. Mrs. Ryan was a faithful loyal wife and mother, and will be missed by her family, relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at Exeter Baptist church on Friday afternoon, May 10, 1929 by Chas anzandt (Vanzandt). Burial in Maplewood Cemetery, at Exeter, under the direction of Horine Funeral Service, assisted by the Calloway Service of Monett. |
