| Text | Bertha Marie Russell, 83, Joplin, died at
3:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2002, at St. John's Regional Medical Center in
Joplin. Mrs. Russell was born May 15, 1918, in Bristow, Okla., the daughter of the late Otto Ernest Faulkner and Edna Marie (Harris) Faulkner and had lived in Joplin since 1950, moving from Monett, A homemaker, she also worked 10 years in the Holiday Inn Restaurant in Joplin, retiring due to ill health. She married Albert A, Russell at Monett. He preceded her in death on April 19, 1971. A son, David Russell, also preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Hulsey, Neosho, and Juanita Phillips, Bella Vista, Ark.; two sons, Bob Russell, Idabel, Okla., and Jim Russell, Wichita, Kan.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The body was cremated under the direction of Parker Mortuary. Private interment will be at Ozark Memorial Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. |
