Text | Ruby Izella Ruark, 87, of Cassville, died February 21 at Red Rose Inn in Cassville. Mrs. Ruark was born June 3, 1914, in Washburn, the daughter of John Thomas and Laura (Fletcher) Pendergraft. She was employed with Granby Garment Factory for 17 years and attended the Assembly of God. She married William A. Ruark on May 18, 1933, in Washburn, and he preceded her in death in August of 1972. Survivors include two sons, Roy Ruark of Seneca and Ray Ruark of Neosho; three daughters, Laura Scott of Washburn, Mae Snow of Neosho, and Mary Scott of Purdy; two brothers, Lawrence Pendergraft of Granby and Carl Pendergraft of Purdy; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Services were 1 p.m. today, February 25, 2002 at Fohn Chapel in Cassville with Rev. Malcolm Mosby officiating. Burial was in Cargile Cemetery in Washburn under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home of Cassville. Research Note: Wife of William Arvil Ruark. Marr. May 16, 1933. He died Aug. 25, 1972. Daughter of John "Tom" Thomas & Laura "Cassie" Kathleen (Fletcher) Pendergraft. Sister of Neomia Epsie Grantham, Mary & Alma Lee Pendergraft, James Charles, Paul Dewayne, Lawrence Anthony, Robert Louis, Lester Arvil, & Carl Junior Pendergraft.
