Text | Max Arlis Rose left this life on Friday, March 24, 1995, at his residence in Cassville, Missouri, at the age of 49 years. Mr. Rose, son of Lemma and Ola Pippin Rose, was born on June 2, 1945, in Washburn, Missouri. He graduated from Southwest High School in Washburn in 1963. After graduation he worked at the Crystal Springs Trout Farm in Cassville until 1967. Max served in the U. S. Army from January 10, 1967, to December 19, 1968, rank was Sgt. E5, Tank Commander. He received the National Defense Service Medal Marksman (Rifle) and was stationed in Schweinfurt, W. Germany, Company A 3rd Bn., 64 Armor, 7th U. S. Army. After returning to Washburn, he was employed at the R & M Industries in Purdy until 1985. He worked at Wal-Mart in Cassville, and June of 1994, began working for the Missouri State Highway Maintenance Department. He was a member of the Prairie Hill Baptist Church. He enjoyed being outdoors being an avid hunter of turkey and deer, and a fisherman. He married his wife on June 5, 1964, in Cassville, Missouri. She survives. Additional survivors include two sons, one daughter of the home; two granddaughters, four brothers, four sisters, his sister-in-law, and his mother-in-law. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lionel R. Rose and Billie Joe Rose; two sisters, Nina Ola Belle Rose, and Eva Mae (Rose) Dalton; and his step-mother, Edna Garrison Lytle Rose. |
