Text | Florence Irene Rose left this life on Monday, March 4, 1996, at the
South Barry County Hospital in Cassville, Missouri, at the age of 80 years. Mrs. Rose, daughter of Charles L. and Anna E. (Pendergraft) Patterson, was born on June 19, 1915, in Washburn, Missouri. She was a lifelong Washburn resident, and a homemaker. She was a member of the Mission Baptist Church in Washburn, Missouri. She married Lionel Rose on April 15, 1937, in Cassville, Missouri. He preceded her in death on February 6, 1980. Survivors include two sons; two daughters; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Carrie Rose, of Joplin, Missouri; and a special friend, Murril Weimer, of Seligman, Missouri. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 7 at the Williamson Funeral Home, Cassville, with the Rev. Jean Latshaw and the Rev. Frank Crosby officiating. Burial will be in King Cemetery, Seligman. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, March 6 at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
