| Text | Polly Ann Edens-Roller, was born January 17,1849. Died at her home south of Washburn, Dec. 30, 1934, at the age of eighty-five years eleven months and thirteen days. She was united in marriage to J.A. Roller, February 15,1880. To this union eight children were born three having died in infancy. She professed faith in Christ, at an early age and united with the Baptist church and lived a devoted Christian life. She was held in high esteem by her many neighbors and friends. She is survived by her husband Jas. A Roller, five children, who are Orville, Arthur Albert, George and Mrs. Nellie Vanzandt of Pineville, Mo., Also 11 grandchildren and three brothers, Bobo Hiram and Curtis Edens and two sisters, Mrs. Roller and Mrs. R.L. Henry and many other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held at the Rock Spring church, near her home. Burial in the Roller Cemetery, near Seligman, Mo., under the direction of the Horine-Culver Funeral Service. A quartet composted of Chas Willis, Clinton Blyths, Mrs. Glenn Pearl and Miss Catherine Suttles with Mrs. Maud Wilson, accompaniment at the organ, furnished music. This excellent character has lived many years of her life-time in this county, where she is well and favorably known as deeply loved by all who knew her. She was a kind and loving wife, mother and neighbor and her every act was to do good. She had been ill for the past few years and suffering patiently. Her passing is a distinct loss, not only to her grief stricken husband, who is one of this county’s best citizens, but to her splendid children, friends and neighbors as well. Her funeral was one of the largest held in that section for sometime and many beautiful floral emblems were received by the bereaved family as an expression of the high esteem in which she was held. The Cassville Democrat joins the may friends of the bereaved family in extending sympathy in their sad hours of bereavement.
