Text | Mrs. Martha Roller died at her home in Washburn, Dec. 24, 1930, at the age of eighty-three years, seven months and fourteen days. She had been a resident of Washburn for fifty years. She was born May 10, 1847 in Hawkins county, East Tenn., and came to Missouri in 1866, with Dr. H. K. Legg and family. She was married to Archibald Roller, on Sept. 23, 1867. Mr. Roller died in 1927. To their marriage four children were born, three of who have preceded her in death. One daughter survives her mother. The daughter has been totally blind for a number of years. Mrs. Roller suffered a stroke of paralysis about four years ago and had been an invalid since. She professed faith in Christ in early life and united with the Methodist church and was faithful until death. Funeral services were held at the home in Washburn, Friday afternoon, Dec. 26, by Rev. Chas, Vanzandt and burial made in the Washburn Prairie cemetery under the direction of Horine and Nelson Funeral services. Washburn News: Cassville Republican - Jan. 1, 1931.
