Text | Georgia L. Roller, 83, of Seligman, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, in Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
She was born June 6, 1930, in Washburn, the daughter of Ora Lee and Della Mae (Snook) Catron. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Pippin, who passed away in 1959. On Dec. 26, 1961, she married Eudean "Dean" Douglas who died July 24, 1992. She later married Luke Roller, who survives. Additional survivors inlcude: one son, Darrell Douglas and his wife, Cerelle, of North Carolina; two daughters, Jean Ann Roop of Dubuque, Iowa, and Bea Roller, of Seligman; three brothers, Robert Catron, of Exeter, Raymond Catron, of Washburn, and Oren Catron, of Hamilton, Mont.; two sisters, Shirley Rose and Carolyn Richardson, both of Washburn; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren, Austin and Charles Pippin. Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Charles Pippin and Terald Douglas, and one brother, Eugene Catron. She grew up and received her education at Washburn. During her career, she farmed, worked in restaurants and was employed for D-X Filling Station. She was secretary for Washburn High School and vice-president of the Bank of Seligman. She was a member of Washburn First Baptist Church. Graveside services were held Sunday at King Cemetery, Seligman, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Russell Bishop conducted the services. Contributions may be made to King Cemetery in her memory. |
