3, 1914, Thursday, Cassville Republican Aunt Elizabeth Roller died at the home of her son, Robert, Sunday night at 10 p.m. of paralysis. She with her daughter, Marinda Walden, were visiting at the home of her son, and was feeling well as usual until stricken with paralysis on Monday, Nov. 23. Her children were all at her bedside except Mrs. Abe Swindle of California and George of Colorado. All was done that loving hands could do. But God saw fit to call her home and she peacefully obeyed. The funeral services were conducted at New Salem Monday, Nov. 30 at 3 p.m. by P. H. Hodge of Washburn and Interment was made in the cemetery near by. Beside her children, she leaves scores of other relatives and friends to mourn her untimely death. To the bereaved ones we extend our heartfelt sympathy. #2. December 10, 1914, Thursday Elizabeth Roller was born Feb. 1, 1835, near Nashville, Tenn., and died Nov. 29, 1914, age 79 years, 9 months and 22 days. With her parents she left Tennessee in her infancy and lived at Little Rock, Ark., about one year. She came to Barry County when he was about 3 years old, where she has lived ever since. At the age of 20, she married to Daniel Roller, whom God permitted life with her for 42 years. She was the mother of 13 children, 10 of whom are left to mourn her death, 52 grandchildren, 48 living, 21 great-grandchildren, 18 living. Besides being a mother of all these she was a mother to all who knew her. But now it has been God's will to call her home and she has gone beckoning as to follow. She is asleep, the sleep which her faith has brought. Research Note: Elizabeth was nee Elizabeth Pendergraft.
