Text | James Ralph Roden, 76, of McDowell, died at
12:25 a.m. today, May 6, at St. John's Regional Health Care Center in
Springfield. Mr. Roden was born November 14, 1922, in Monett, the son of George and Lelia Baker Roden. He attended school in Monett for seven years and graduated in 1941 from Purdy High School. He was a veteran of World War II, a farmer, and cattleman near McDowell before retiring. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was preceded by one brother, Lester Roden; and two sisters, Irene Roller and Ruth Hayward. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 8, at Buchanan Chapel in Monett with Rev. Tim Larkin and Rev. Morris Dodson officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery south of Monett under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Home of Monett. The body will be ready for viewing after noon tomorrow, May 7. Memorials may be made to the cemetery or American Heart Association. |
