Text | Pony Robison, 87 years old, Exeter, Route 1, died Monday morning, March 3, at his home after an extended illness. Mr. Robison was born July 2, 1881, at Knoxville, Tenn., and had lived in the Exeter community the last 82 years. He was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Cora Robison; two sons, Manford of San Leandro, Calif., and Orville of Exeter; two daughters, Mrs. Clara Henbest of Cassville, and Mrs Opal Williams of Tucson, Ariz; five grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Services were at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in Williamson chapel, Cassville with Revs. E. J. Jones and Elvis Dudley officiating. Burial was in Antioch cemetery. Research note: Mrs. Opal Williams was a niece, not a daughter, of Pony. She was the daughter of Allie Robison Norman and is listed in the 1920 Exeter Township, Barry Co., MO, census living with her grandparents, P. R. and Bettie Robison. |
