Text | Mrs. Bettie Robison was born in Hawkins Co. (TN) in 1849 and died at her home near Exeter, May 11, 1926, at the age of 77 years and 4 days. On April 28, 1865 she was united in marriage to Powell Robison and to this union was were born eleven children, two dying when small, Mrs. Allie Norman died in 1913, Rufus Robison in 1886. Seven children survive her. They are John and Ebb Robison, Larah (Laura) and Mollie May of Exeter, Joe Robison of Cassville, Pony Robison of Exeter and Harry Robison of Purdy. She is also survived by 41 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren with a host of friends. Her husband died Sept 26, 1924. She was converted in early life and united with the Baptist church and has lived a faithful Christian life. After coming to this country she placed her membership with the Antioch Baptist Church. In 1889 the family came to Barry County which has since been her home. Funeral services were held at the Antioch church at 11 a.m. May 12 conducted by Rev. Norman McNabb. Will Henbest had charge of the singing. Internment was made in the Antioch Cemetery under the direction of the Blankenship undertaking establishment. Before her passing she made a request that she didn’t want her loved ones to grieve for her. |
