| Headline | WALTER H. ROBERTS DIES NEAR OAK RIDGE WEDNESDAY |
| Text | Walter H. Roberts, who recently moved into this section, locating in the Oak Ridge settlement on the Batten farm, which he purchased, passed away at his home last Wednesday, following an illness of short duration. Death was due to heart ailment. He was 52 years and 19 days old.
At the early stage in life, Mr. Roberts professed faith in Christ and at the age of 21 years, was married to Miss Harsey, to which union one child a daughter was born. The deceased was born in Watersville, Maine. In the year 1903 he again married to Sarah Kennedy, and five children were born to this marriage, four girls and one son. Funeral services were held at the family home after which the remains were laid to rest in the Oak Hill cemetery at Cassville. Mr. Roberts made many friends since coming here a short time ago.
