| Text | Velma Robberson, 89, of Purdy, died at 11:20 a.m. November 22 at Lacoba Nursing Home in Monett following a brief illness. Mrs. Robberson was born February 25, 1911, in Verona, the daughter of Frank and Lilly Collar Hultgren. She was a retired beautician and owned her own shop in Purdy for several years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and Central Homemakers Extension Club, both in Purdy, and was a 4-H club leader for 16 years. She married Ross Robberson on October 26, 1941, in Monett, and he preceded her in death June 13, 1987. Survivors include two sons, one brother, two sisters, six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Haskill Hultgren. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, November 26, at the First Baptist Church in Purdy. Burial will be in Monett IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home of Monett. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, November 25, at the funeral home. |
