| Text | Mary Rebecca Brown, daughter of the late W. D. and Alice (Bayless) Brown was born September 12, 1897 in Cassville and departed this life September 26, 1960 in Cassville Osteopathic Hospital at the age of 63 years and 17 days. She attended the Cassville Schools, graduating from the Cassville High School and attended the Southwest State Teachers College of Springfield. She taught in the Barry County Rural Schools, Cassville School system and the rural schools of Green County before her retirement. On June 5, 1938 she was united in marriage to W. E. Robberson of Pierce City, they made their home in Pierce City until 1955 at which time they moved to a farm north of Cassville. Mrs. Robberson was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of which she was a very active member. She leaves to survive her passing beside her husband Bill, one brother, Kenneth Brown of Cassville and one sister, Mrs. Leo Robberson of Cassville and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Funeral services were conducted at 3:oo p.m. Saturday in the Chapel in the Valley with Elder Norman Sharp officiating with burial in the Oak Hill Cemetery under direction of Williamson Chapel In The Valley. |
