| Text | Carl John Rieck, 87, of Shell Knob, died December 22 at Carroll Regional Medical Center in Berryville, Arkansas. Mr. Rieck was born March 1, 1913, in Beardstown, Illinois, the son of John F. and Augusta Schultz Rieck. He was employed with the water department in Denver, Colorado, managing the reservoir. He was a rancher in Colorado for nine years and moved to Shell Knob in 1992. He was a Lutheran. He married Ruth Beltz on September 12, 1935. Additional survivors include one son, one daughter and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters. Services will be 11 a.m. tomorrow, December 27, at Williamson Chapel in Shell Knob with Rev. David Collum officiating. Burial will be in McGuire Cemetery in Viola under the direction of Williamson Funeral Home of Shell Knob. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today, December 26, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the McGuire Cemetery Association. |
