Text | Services for Mrs. Maymie E. Ridenour, 88, Stella, who died at 11:52 a.m. Tuesday at Jane Chinn Memorial Hospital, Webb City, after an illness, will be at 2 p.m. today at McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Ron Gibson will officiate. Burial will be in Rocky Comfort Cemetery. Mrs. Ridenour was born Oct. 8, 1894, at Rocky Comfort and was a lifelong resident of the Rocky Comfort-Stella area. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She married Fred Ridenour, March 5, 1938, in McDonald County. He died in 1956. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Zelma Bertalotto, Neosho, and Mrs. Geraldine Ply, Yellville, Ark.; nine grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren. Research Note: Maymie first married Thomas Eldridge Dickens on June 16, 1912 and they had 3 children before his death on April 1, 1930--the 2 daughters mentioned in the obit and a son, Gladsy Dickens who died Oct. 1, 1981. |
