Text | #1. Samuel Fred Riddle, 82, of Monett, died December 4 at Monett Health Care Center. Mr. Riddle was born September 7, 1923, in Monett, the son of Homer Riddle and Dolly Summers Riddle Bradley. He was a retired florist at Monett Floral and Monett Wholesale Greenhouse. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He married Ora Naomi Henson in 1946. Additional survivors include one daughter, two sisters, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Bell Riddle; and one grandchild. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, December 8, at Bennett-Wormington Chapel in Monett with Rev. Ronnie Howerton officiating. Burial will be in Monett IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home of Monett. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. tomorrow, December 7, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. #2. Services for Samuel Fred Riddle, 82, of Monett, who died December 4, were held at 2 p.m. yesterday, December 8, at Bennett-Wormington Chapel in Monett with Rev. Ron Howerton officiating. Music was provided by Sue Childress and George Henson who sang I Want To Stroll Over Heaven With You, On The Wings Of A Snow White Dove, and Going Home. Casketbearers were Lee Chapman, Ray Stockton, Gerald Patton, Fred Stockton, Kenneth Arnold, and Roger Terry. Honorary casketbearer was Dean Willoughby. Burial was in Monett IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home of Monett. |
