| Text | Venita Fern Ray, age 69, of Cassville, died at 12:30 p.m. April 5 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield following a brief illness. Mrs. Ray was born July 10, 1929, in Protem, and was a daughter of Floyd Edgar and Beulah Frances (Linkous) Wolf. She was a lifelong area resident, a homemaker, and attended Gunter Methodist Church. She married J. I. "Guy" Ray on November 13, 1951, in Berryville, Arkansas, and he preceded her in death December 13, 1981. Survivors include one son, three daughters, three brothers, one sister, and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Wolf. Services will be 11 a.m. tomorrow, April 8, at Williamson Chapel in Cassville with Rev. Jerry Nickle and Doyle Russell, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Gunter Cemetery east of Butterfield under the direction of Williamson Funeral Home of Cassville. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today, April 7, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association. |
