| Text | Ida May Utter Ray, 92, of Springfield, formerly of Butterfield, died at 6:50 a.m. November 6 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield. Mrs. Ray was born March 6, 1909, in Webb City, the daughter of Robert Calvin and Matilda Catherine (Mitchell) Utter. She was a homemaker and raised her family in Butterfield. She married George T. Ray on May 5, 1926, in Cassville, and he preceded her in death May 4, 1975. She was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Ray; one son, Walter Ray; and one grandchild. Services were 11 a.m. today, November 9, at Williamson Chapel in Cassville with Rev. Mike Miller and Brother Bob Harrison officiating. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Butterfield under the direction of Williamson Funeral Home of Cassville. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Butterfield. |
